AuroraGlow F/X was created originally out of a desire of a Father wanting to connect to his Autistic Son and find some type of activity that they could do together. Something that not just had the child tagging along with Daddy for just another activity for Dad, but something where Daddy and Son could interact and connect while engaging in the activity together. One of Daddy's favorite past times is to go fishing. Living in the Fishing Capital of the World, Florida certainly helps create opportunity to do some great fishing. Anyone who has an Autistic child knows that attention span is probably one of these most challenging things to deal with because activities especially those out of the house (comfort zone) can be very difficult. Even simple things like going to the supermarket could be "mission impossible". Every time Daddy would take his son fishing it would never be more than 30 minutes and since it always took 15 minutes to setup well this became frustrating for both father and son. Daddy was now on his own mission to figure out how to extend the time out on their excursions. One Day Daddy noticed something interesting while daddy was at home building a fishing lure, his son who was in the same room was hyper-focused on what Daddy was doing. So intently that he spent well over two hours engaging with Daddy helping and assisting him on the building of the lure. Autistic children are very creative and can be found creating elaborate structures with blocks or rearranging their toys or furniture for hours. It might having something to do with the feeling of assembling things in order and the good feeling they get when they do this. Eureka!  Daddy was on to something. Daddy went to the store bought replica sets of all of the supplies for that particular lure and sat on the floor with his son again and repeated the process. The real questions was whether or not he would want to now take that Lure that he just made and take it down to the Docks and Go fishing with Daddy that was another thing all together. Well Daddy packed up the car loaded all the rods and equipment, put his son in the car seat with his "NEW LURE" and headed to the Dock where they go fishing to see what would happen. 3 hours, two fish caught and son learning to cast and retrieve ... amazing! He was having a blast. Daddy went home that night and decided to try out additional design of lures and repeat the process. What Daddy found through experimentation was that when he added Glow to the Lures it increased the FUN FACTOR BY 1000! Daddy Developed over 30 Different Unique, Creative and Innovative Projects, 5 of those 30 projects actually were patentable. What started out as just an exercise developed and turned out to be so much more. Daddy even designed and created a unique brandable packaging concept just for the projects. To this Day Daddy and Son have been building and fishing with the same Lures. Daddy strongly believes in his heart that his Son's amazing incredible advancements and progress in "learning how to fish" despite challenges with his Autism is directly connected to the interactions he and son have had while creating, building and fishing with those LURES!
